Chiropractic Care

Every body is different and requires an individualized approach. Our Chiropractors will create a treatment plan based on what is best for your body and your concerns. We apply a variety of technqiues and instruments, depending on your condition and history. These may include:

  • Diversified adjustments
  • Activator
  • Pelvic Blocking
  • Drop table
  • Heat
  • E-Stim

Muscles and bones are connected. You can’t treat one while neglecting the other, so our chiropractors utilize a blend of soft-tissue therapies including Swedish massage strokes, pin-and-stretch (active release) to the muscles and cross-friction sports massage to relax the tissue, increase blood flow, improve range of motion, and promote healing.

We often see patients who are experiencing their very first chiropractic adjustment. Our chiropractors will take the time to explain what they are doing so that you feel comfortable and safe.

Corrective Exercises

At Golden Chiropractic, we teach our patients how to perform special exercises which help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain.

Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan.

In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place and are being used improperly. If left unaddressed, these can cause injuries over time.

In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches recommended by our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.

Infant Care

Infant adjustments are much gentler than those given to adults.

Infant spinal adjustments use light, sustained pressure to correct any misalignments.

Infant cranial work involves gently shifting baby's cranial bones to help the head form well. It also activates your baby's parasympathetic nervous system, helping to regulate their rest and digest cycles.

Infant intra-oral work assesses for ties, quality of latch, and any need to perform cranial work to open the soft palate.

Webster Technique: Preventative Care for Pregnancy

Expectant moms feel pain and discomfort. Many moms-to-be suffer frequently from low back pain, pelvic joint pain, and groin pain. These pains come from the changes in a woman's body that occur with pregnancy.

As the body prepares for birth, connective and supportive tissues expand and contract rapidly and extensively. This causes tension, spasms, and pulling on nerve endings. The result is a body that's out of balance, and a mom who is feeling extremely uncomfortable.

With the Webster Technique, moms often feel instant waves of relief and calm. Learn more about the Webster Technique here.

RockPods for Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial Cupping affects the body’s nervous, immune, and fascial systems. Cupping encourages the body’s natural healing process by encouraging flow and discouraging congestion.

Myofascial cupping:

  • increases blood flow to a region, which delivers oxygen to the tissues. This encourages both healing and congestion removal
  • causes anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cell death chemicals in the body
  • stretches tight fascia and muscles

Craniosacral & Myofascial Unwinding

Craniosacral therapy (CST) / Myofascial Unwinding (MFR) is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to restore balance within the fascia. In treatment we'll balance the muscles, which realigns the bones, and we'll free up the flow of nerves, blood, and energy channels.

The CST/MFR technique addresses the physical and emotional stressors affecting body function. It assesses and treats tension in the cranium, spine, and musculoskeletal system — tension that may be affecting how the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems respond to demands on our bodies.

Myofascial Blading

Myofascial blading is an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively address scar tissue and fascial restrictions through comprehensive training, resulting in improved patient outcomes. The technique uses specially-designed stainless steel instruments, along with appropriate therapeutic exercise, to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. The instruments also are used diagnostically to follow the kinetic chain, to locate and treat the cause of the symptom as well as the specific area of pain. Dr. Goldi uses both Graston instruments and RockBlades in the the clinic.

RockTape

Unlike traditional athletic tape that binds and doesn’t stretch. RockTape is engineered to mimic the human skin. This stretchiness is the secret behind RockTape. RockTape stretches up to 180% of its original length but has amazing “snap-back” or recovery. To achieve this, a special weave is introduced into the cotton when the tape is woven, This weave means the tape will stretch in only one direction and the tension of the weave is engineered to mimic the same elasticity as skin. Together, these properties create “Bio-Mechanical Lifting Mechanism”. This simply means that the tape can lift the skin away from the soft tissue underneath the skin. The lifting capability is what promotes circulation, resulting in improved lymphatic drainage.

Lifestyle Advice

Many of our patients come to see our chiropractor to address a specific pain symptom such as low back pain, neck pain or headaches.

While our chiropractor will address each patient’s specific condition with chiropractic care, we often find it helpful to coach our patients towards achieving a healthier stress-free lifestyle.

There may be certain activities that you should avoid or do differently to prevent yourself from unintentionally aggravating your particular health challenges.

The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve the fulfilling and happy lifestyle they deserve; one that is full of the activities that you enjoy most. We recognize that every single one of our patients is a whole person, and we will use our expertise to help you reach total health and wellness.
