I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
The pain of NOT doing anything. Not exercising. Not taking time for myself. Not making myself a priority became worse than the pain of actually just doing it. Going for it. Trying something new. I tried skiing in November and found that my legs didn’t respond like I wanted them to. They didn’t’ seem connected to my body, my core was non-existent and I crashed. Hard.
I realized if I was gonna learn to ski I needed strength, coordination, agility, stamina and power.
I found a gym that provided a great comminuty environment and an ever changing platform for fitness. I’m healthier and happier for it. I still hurt. But it’s a good hurt. Now skiing with my family is fun.
